Looking on from afar, have to say I was a little surprised at last night's result. 1-1 at home against the penultimate side in the division, having beaten the leaders only a week-and-a-half before. Means Horndean have taken 2pts off us this season.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to sound entitled. You have to earn every win - that's the beauty of football. But it kind of sums the season up.
Leaves us 7pts off the playoffs but still with 30pts to play for. So still very much in it but we have to start being more consistent. Even more frustrating that both Hanworth and Westfield were beaten last night, so we could've made up some ground, especially on the former. Harrow now only 2pts behind and Hartley Wintney (who beat Westfield) 7pts behind but with 4 games in hand. A few twists and turns still to come?
