Uxbridge (H)

Post by Red army »

Well that was a swift kick in the bollox looked reasonably comfortable with 88mins gone and lost. Guess that’s football but decent crowd good atmosphere and first league defeat in12 or so games???
Set pieces seemed the only way both sides would score last night, can’t remember and clear cut chance created first half by either side. Took the lead with a in swinging corner contested by Richmond at the near post, fell into the path of Tyler Hayles who swept home left footed from 10yds. Uxbridge replied in similar fashion near post free kick guided home by the smallest player on the pitch. Hayes a lot of effort but no real cutting edge.
Ht 1-1

2nd half much the same, Uxbridge massive penalty shout early on and I’m surprised the ref never pointed to the spot looked like one from the other end of the ground!! Sippetts clear of the defence and nudged in the back when though on goal penalty awarded. Kaylen Hinds our only other notable chance keeper saved with his legs at 2-1. Then the game stopped with Pazio holding the ball, ref booked Simon for dissent I guess. Re start Pazio threw the ball to the floor and took an age to clear, charged down by the forward scrambled backed and clawed out for corner. Resulting corner caused mayhem ball pinging around from blocks and attempted clearances, eventually slammed home across the keeper. Injury time take a point but wasn’t to be lost a 50/59 in midfield worked its way out to a winger who slammed a first time cross across the box and looked like Richmond steered into his own net at the near post. Ft 2-3

Disappointed second half, at no stage did we have control of the tempo of the game, Uxbridge dictated for majority of the half plenty of possession in the wide areas, though never created a clear cut chance I can remember. We eventually forced into long balls that the centre half gobbled up against the diminutive figures of Sani and Sippetts. Ok tactic but never close to compete for second ball and once again giving up possession and defence under pressure.

Mom Jude Mason played the winger reasonably well all game.

Seems to me that Wranyel Hercules for all his effort and commitment is not a natural right back and looks to have been targeted in last nights game and the RPV away.
