As long as we go through the season scoring twice as many as the opposition we'll be fine!
At half time I couldn't see White Ensign coming back, they hardly had a sniff in the first 45 minutes but credit to them they turned things around and at 3-3 were in the ascendancy. Then credit to the character shown by our lads to battle back, keep their heads up and score some great goals with some fine goalkeeping from Forster too.
If that wasn't enough, the stand is open! Well done to everyone who's battled over the years to make this day happen. I see on X that John McDonnell did the honours but I missed the ceremony.
White Ensign and The Stand
Re: White Ensign and The Stand
For sure, it does very much look like we're going to be one of those sides that says, "You score three, we'll score four." Have to be honest and say I was a little worried when we threw away a two-goal lead at home for the second game in a row, especially against a side from the step below. But credit to the players for driving on and great to see Kaylen Hinds back among the goals for the season.
From what I saw of us against Jersey on YouTube, I really think we look good going forwards. I do worry defensively though. Hopefully we can put RPV away tomorrow night - they appear to be on a really bad run of form already.
Great to see the new stand finally open too. Just to echo theAdmin and say well done to all who stuck with it and made it happen. I know the authorities love their bureaucracy over there, so it can't have been easy. But it definitely adds to the ground.
