Performance on Saturday was on par with the Westfield away game from last year.
Men v Boys from the first whistle, our biggest game this season to date I would say, could have made a statement about being play off contenders but we never looked up for the fight.

AFC Portchester just wanted it more, aggressive in the individual battles all over the pitch. The worrying thing for me is after the second went in we just accepted the result and lucky not to get beat 7/8 in the end.

Defensively we are a shambles, high line and no pace is asking for trouble. Simon failed to rectify the away form and new manager continues to sign attacking players when we screaming out for 2 dominant centre halves!!! Conceded 59 in 29 games makes it glaringly obvious where the problem lies.

Brendan Matthews up front against 2 6ft plus defenders and all we did was pump the ball up in the air for them to head clear or watch it sail through to their keeper.

Keeper looks nervous but who can blame him, standing behind this defence, at 4-0 down he decided to try and dribble round the opposing forward outside his box, only to be tackled and rescued by the skipper clearing of the line.

First time in years I’m actually wondering why I bother every week!!! Since Paul Hughes left it’s been a steady decline of poor performances and bang average football bar the odd game..

Every manager ( Hanlon, Molesley(Snake), Leese, Lane) and now Jamie, we hear there’s a 3-5 year plan which so far has resulted in a relegation and missed play off attempt.

Think most fans are of the opinion we have heard this all before and nothing really ever materialises from the club.

After Saturday looks like the same outcome this season? Plenty of games to go but leaking goals at the rate we do will be one tough task.

Mom 2 players I’d say came out with some credit the usual suspect Amos Nasha never stopped running and never threw in the towel, the other Jude Mason was our best player against the never ending tide of orange.

Interesting to read your thoughts Red army.

I can't comment too much as I've only managed to get over for the Southall game on 27th Dec. I thought we looked very shaky defensively. Southall had a small guy on the left who had blistering pace and he got in behind the back three time and again that day. A better side would've severely punished us.

Very valid points about the managers too. Paul Hughes was probably the last manager we had that delivered any meaningful progress. I can't think of too much progress on the pitch since then. Very much hoping that Jamie Tompkins is the man to change that, but he's got some tough fixtures coming up on the back of three straight losses.

Westfield and Leatherhead next... Can we realistically expect anything from either of those? Also got Hanworth, Hartley and Moneyfields to come too. Appreciated, he needs time to build his squad, but if we are going for the playoffs this season then it's going to require something special with the games that are left.
