Player Moves
Player Moves
So found out on Twitter about Jacob Adams, Steve Ngunga and Amos Nasha leaving the club. Seems a very odd time for this to happen given we're in the midst of a serious relegation battle. Is it cost-cutting or just players getting fed up and moving on?
Re: Player Moves
Seems like communication is inconsistent with regard to injuries, incoming and outgoings and dual registrations. Sometimes incomings and outgoings are on the website whereas the three recent departures are not. So what happens when the Millwall keeper’s loan period expires? I thought that Steve Nguna looked more than useful and Amos was decent. I watched the Didcot game and Gosport and it showed how much the squad has gone backwards from the one that lost in the playoffs to Farnborough.
The spirit that existed then has ebbed away.

Re: Player Moves
Losing these players is a massive loss to the club which is in real trouble now.
Adams form recently had been patchy with some real dreadful mistakes. His distribution was poor at best, his kicking very erratic and was becoming a liability. However he produced some wonderful saves during the season i suppose in the end playing behind a dreadful defence was bound to take its toll and confidence was ebbing away. I understand he has gone to Wealdstone probably as a back up keeper and with some decent coaching will come good again.
Ngunga is really talented but was very raw. He could go round almost anyone for fun but sometimes lacked the end product. It must have been very frustrating for him to keep being either sat on the bench or constantly being subbed. How many times would he get into a decent crossing position only to see no one there, being made to play as a defender and i have it on good authority being told to stay back, then being bollocked for setting up a goal. I understand he walked out.
Amos is the biggest loss. As far as I am concerned he has been one of best players this year again. Despite playing well he often found himself on the bench and then not get on at all. It must have been really frustrating seeing players who are no where near as good as you picked to play and subs getting on and being left to carry the water bottles. Again I understand he walked out.
These players will come back and haunt Hayes in the coming seasons. After yesterdays dreadful display once again it will be a few years before we see these players again because we will not be in this league. Chesham this weekend we never get anything there and if results go against us we will be back in the relegation zone and can anyone who saw the game yesterday see this team getting us out of this mess.

Agree with all of Hogs points. Jacob is a good keeper and early part of the season he kept us in a majority of games. His form as dropped of over recent matches and it always cost you points when the keeper makes mistakes. Dealing with corners has been an issue for few years and Jacob is not dominant enough in a crowded area, teams do their homework and it’s no coincidence that we concede goals from them.
Steven Ngunga while very talented can be frustrating at times but he is 19 and we should never be relying on a young talent to out perform our senior players. Has looked unfit in his most recent games. Playing as a wing back on some occasions is more an issue on the balance of the squad assembled. That being said it’s a loss for our creativity in the final third which as been non existent in most games this season.
Amos Nasha is a mystery, gives u 100% and a bite in midfield which we have lacked when Sami not available. Most fans behind the goal said why he not getting game time?? Is that the loan players are required to play as part of the deal in coming to the club. Been a long term member of the squad and it’s sad to see him go like this.

Jacob Adams - decent enough keeper but his form of last season and early this term has evaporated. Has cost the team points in several games (notably at home to Totton and Gosport). His distribution is woeful and his ability to command his area at set pieces is extremely limited. It doesn't look good that he decides to walk away as soon as the manager mentions that he is bringing in a loan keeper to take him out of the firing line.
Steven Ngunga - an exciting player but seems to have a poor attitude. I have long been an advocate of playing him on the left wing rather than the right but a player at this level needs to do more than just turn up and expect to play. I think it is a shame that he has departed but he will always struggle to nail down a regular starting place at this level or above.
Amos Nasha - this is a baffling decision. There is no evidence that Amos has ever caused any problems at the club even though it is legitimate to say that Paul Hughes often seemed to leave him out or take him off ahead of others who do not offer what he does. An ideal player for a relegation battle who actually cares about the club. Anyoboy suggesting that Gambin, Okoh or Dunne are significantly superior to Amos are probably watching a different game to me. Amos deserved better.
It was not a major surprise that Michael Fernandes looked good for Swindon on Saturday. I may be in a minority of Hayes and Yeading supporters that felt he was prematurely discarded as a player that could both score and create. With the walking yellow card merchants (Omar and Ronan) in and out of the team we desperately lack creativity in the final third and this has been exacerbated by the departure of Ngunga and the questionable fitness of Hagen. Lets hope that these decisions do not come back to bite us on the backside.
