I see Andy & Simon have confirmed they are staying on next season with Del but nothing about Clarky, Gus or Craig.

Does anyone know if they are staying on?

Think Andy and Simon have a big task on their hands in all fairness, looking like a very competitive league next season. Kingstonians snapping up plenty of ex Walton players, Farnham Town will have a decent budget again this season after strolling the previous one without a league defeat. Rayners Lane all ready have a solid base to work from with a play off win and cup success last season.
Think there needs to be a fresh outlook on the playing side after last seasons debacle. Hopefully they have a good knowledge of players at this level and find some gems for us to get behind.
Discipline is something that needs improvement, I can accept footballing cautions but far too many for pettiness and stupidity on individuals shoulders.

I do like Andy’s interview doesn’t mix his words, straight talker fronts up when results not gone our way.
Think expectations could be higher than what we could actually achieve this season?
New management need time to gel and build a side capable of promotion push.
I would take a decent top half finish, whilst playing some attractive and attacking football again. Last season was a tough watch both home and away all season.

Only time will tell if they are the right men for the job, would be extremely harsh to judge them on the 6 games of last season. Clean slate their own squad to work with, see where it takes us this season.

Wishing them all the best for this season, hopefully a much better one than the last..

There are a lot of unknown factors at this stage of the close season. we don't know how our squad will look or indeed which players (if any) will still be with the club come August. I think it is a positive that the manager and assistant have committed themselves to the club and a busy pre-season lies ahead.

I have had far too much time on my hands but some basic research about this division reveals the following.

- Leatherhead will be the most likely of the clubs who failed to go up last season to have a decent season this time around. Their average home crowd of 452 was comfortably higher than all other clubs last term with the exception of promoted Chertsey Town and the captive market that is Guernsey.

- it is safe to assume that Rayners Lane and Farnham Town will continue to pay over-inflated wages to attract players you'd usually find at Step 3 or above. Farnham attract decent crowds which should ensure a challenging atmosphere for visiting clubs. Kingstonian have obviously found some money down the back of the sofa as the Walton contingent will not come cheap.

- Southall and Westfield do not have deep pockets and probably overachieved last season by making the play-offs. It must be doubtful if either team could repeat this feat given the increasingly challenging nature of the division.

- this is a division that contains a fair amount of dead wood. Every team from 10th down finished with a negative goal difference. The teams finishing 14th-19th (averaged a point a game or less) whilst newcomers Horndean fared little better in the Isthmian League South East with only 43 points from 38 games.

My prediction for the top 5 at this very early stage would be Leatherhead, Farnham, Kingstonian, Rayners Lane (funding permitting) and perhaps ourselves or Harrow Borough.
