Game on!
No pitch inspection required according to the Walton & Hersham Twitter feed.
I know we've heard this before but with only a minimal chance of any rain between now and kick-off we should be on safe, if damp, ground this time.

Great News, well done Derrick and all who made the pitch playable.

Was following on Twitter yesterday and I've taken a point before the game in all honesty. Was it a good point or two points dropped for us?
Interesting to see Lewis Kinsella joining on loan. An experienced player and we needed a left-back. Did he look a good addition?

Overall not a bad performance, arguably created the best 2 chances of the game, which both fell to Fernandes. Passed the ball better first half than in previous games but the final third again was a real worry. We only create 2/3 chances a half in nearly all the games Mark Molesley been in charge, if we concede first in a game I’m fearful the best we can take is a point. Losing Ayo and Sami in the first half not ideal, Ayo’s pace and strength offers us much more than what Wabo has to offer.
2nd half was a carbon copy of the away game at Hendon on New Year’s Day , seemed to start slowly and was pinned back for majority of the half and reliant on long balls over the top or a magic moment from an individual. Created a few opportunities but easily dealt with by Tyla Dickinson in the away goal.
Liked kinsella at left back had a steady game, a man rather than a youngster and plenty of experience.
Ferdinand Okoh didn’t get to see much of him in an attacking sense but plenty of work rate in his debut.
Louis Dunne tidy on the ball in midfield once again.
Take a point against a decent Walton side who like us, looked in need of a centre forward.
Need to start winning at home, and this month is crucial in our bid to stay up, playing so many of the teams around us in the table, will go a long way in the outcome of this season.
U hayessss

This match brought home to me what I suppose has been filtering down to our level for a while, the Guadiola-ification of football, building from the back. Lots of sideways passes at the back from the attacking as they look for a gap in a well organised couple of lines of defence.
If an attacker can make a run and a pass can be timed right, if someone’s brave enough to take on their man and get some space, if the defending side are pressured to lose the ball, we have some kind of goal opportunity. More often than not, the defending side just snuffs out the attack in a congested midfield. Rinse and repeat.
Swift counterattacks can break this pattern, but when they happened our forwards seemed isolated and onrushing midfielders nowhere to be seen.
Anyway, credit to the discipline and fitness of both sides to mostly nullify the threat of the other. I thought we had the better of the first half chances but could easily have conceded from the start of the second as W&H broke through multiple times, often from wide positions.
As others have said, if either side had that elusive clinical striker they’d have won it.
