Away from the current battle we find ourselves in, just a couple of updates regarding HYUFC players who have been on international duty in the last week or so...

Jerry WIltshire played for British Virgin Islands in the "Virgin Derby" against the US Virgin Islands last night. He missed the first leg on Friday (1-1) and last night they drew 0-0 to go through 5-2 on penalties (Wiltshire scoring BVI's 2nd) to the 2nd Qualifying Round of the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers. There they will enter a group format and will play Jamaica, Guatemala, Dominica and Dominican Republic. Those games kick off in June and their squad seems to read like a who's who of Southern Premier League football.

One I didn't bring up before as I wasn't sure he was still with the club, is Kai Bartolo who plays for our Under-18's. He was raised in Gibraltar but has chosen to switch allegiance to Malta (as his surname suggests, he has Maltese heritage) recently. He made his debut for the Malta Under-17's over here two weeks ago in a 0-0 draw with Switzerland Under-17's.
