Do performances really matter if we’re winning games??
Would we all be happy if we get promoted but it’s not great viewing week in and week out?? 4 wins on the bounce in all competitions so a solid base to work from!!!

First half on Tuesday night was one of the poorest in terms of quality. Bedfont were very organised at made it difficult for us, the lack of movement in the final third was a real issue and we didn’t seem to have a plan in terms of breaking them down.
Bedfont had 2 half chances one wide and one comfortably saved at his near post by Aaron Watkins. I can’t recall us given the opposition keeper anything to do. Ht 0-0

2nd half was a little better, it was only the Bedfont goal that livened us up. Bedfont midfielder in the middle of the pitch under no pressure slides a pass between centre backs for the forward to skip round the onrushing Watkins and roll into an empty net. Finally we came out tempo went up a notch pass into Hayles running from midfield, on our right hand side right footed cross, Bedfont player stretching flicking of the top of his head but could only divert it over his own keeper. Passing across the box found full back Olurunfermi outside the box, shoots into the side netting. First of 2 penalties awarded free kick from the right, Duffy in front of his marker but dragged to the floor. Substitute Ashton slams low to the keepers right. United better now Remi introduced on the right and Ashton up front gave us a focal point. The key was tempo and moving the ball quicker had Bedfont struggling for 15/20 period. Tackles flying in and both sides getting heated. Second penalty awarded Kaylen Hinds bearing down on goal gets his shot away but wide but then cleaned out late by the centre back and penalty awarded again. Ashton gets his second of the night, this time rolling the ball to the keepers right as dived the opposite way.
Another mention for Aaron Watkins another great save to keep it 2-1. Ball in from the United left, finds Bedfont player unmarked 10yds out, point blank save to his right and pulls the ball into his body when looking like it could trickle over the line. Ft 3-1

MoM: Sam Ashton scored twice and held the ball up well and gave us some energy and movement up front. Hayles and Nasha once again putting in a real shift. Mention for Louis Rogers, Mr steady so far this season but doesn’t get mentioned a lot. Midfield tonight and did well snuffing out opposition attacks, also played well at centre back in previous games.

Southall on Saturday who seemed to have picked up a few results since we played them last. Always tough game and never a fore gone conclusion. Hopefully performance improves, another win gets into the hat, for a decent draw in the next round.
