The Music….

Hi all, Martin, the man with the microphone here….. it was bought to my attention on Tuesday evening that my choice of music leaves a lot to be desired by our younger Fans. I can fully understand this but unfortunately, I don’t know anything about the modern music scene! Simon very kindly gave me the Track he would like his Team to come out to and I believe that has gone down reasonably well. Please, if anyone would care to give me some suggestions on the music they would like to hear, I’m all ears! Please put it on here or come up and see me at the back of the Stand, thank you!

OK I'm well outside your target demographic so if someone young comes along best take their advice but meanwhile...

Do you use Spotify or some similar service for the music?

Spotify has a playlist called "Today's Top Hits" with music from modern beat combos, could you take a few off there and give them a virtual spin? There's "TIK TOK 2025 September" too, full of stuff the kids may be into.

From a random sample:

back to friends - sombr - (ethereal, a bit downbeat?)
APT. - ROSÉ etc - (nice and annoying and catchy)
When did you get hot? - Sabrina Carpenter - (a phrase I rarely hear)
party 4 u - Charli xcx - (not a stomper but she's the current big thing I believe)
Daisies - Justin Bieber - (Bieber's still going, maybe some Beliebers in our crowd)
The Subway - Chappell Roam - (Instantly catchy with its chorus, even the oldies may take to it)

Anyway, the playlists may be a good source to plunder if no one comes up with any better suggestions.

What is our current "walk out" track for the team? - it hasn't really grabbed me at the ground but I'd like to give it a proper listen.

The Ruts and Misty In Roots would be my first suggestion for us of a certain vintage. Good old Hayes bands ;) .

My 14 year old lad reckons the team should come out to Turn The Page by The Streets.

Hi Martin, doing a great job on the Mic, things can only get better made me chuckle at half time versus Bedfont on Tuesday night.

Noah Kahn, season of the sticks, northern attitude.

Pappas got a brand new pig bag by Pig bag when players come for the second half..

Killers Mr brightside. When we were young.
Stop this flame by Celeste
Free from desire by Gala.
song 2 and parklife by blur
Chelsea dagger by the fratellis
Seven nation army by white stripes

Pumped Up Kicks by John Murphy and Ralph Saenz which is cover version of heavily played original by Foster The People is very good and very recognisable!
