3 more points on the board. Decent away performance, different from Tuesday night this one. Boys did well coming back from a poor start in the 2nd half. Substitutes having more impact on the games now, when introduced by the manager.
Thought we dominated large parts of the first half, created handful of chances but lacked final touch. Fairly even 20 mins I’d say with little in the way of chances. Hayes created the best chance neat work on the right Ngunga and Ronan combining to get Cole Brown free in the box his cross come shot inches away from both the sliding Ayo and the far post. Omar Rowe pass into Ayo down the left touch line line, Ayo cutting back into the box 2 half hearted challenges from defenders allows Ayo to pull the trigger with his right foot, curling across the keeper into the far corner. Lead was short lived however, deep corner from the home side headed back across the box, causing full scale scramble on the 6yd box, few poor attempts to clear resulted in the ball stabbed home from close range. Steven Ngunga coming more into the game beating the full back wide on the right, cutting inside low drive looked destined for the net until Beaconsfield foot cleared it away. Ngunga couple of chances cutting inside onto his left foot but these much easier to deal with form the home keeper. Ht 1-1
Hayes very slow start, giving the ball away and the ref disrupting the flow of the game, giving yellow cards to any Hayes who made the slightest of infringement. Another poor goal conceded, this Hayes corner across the 6yd box, Paul field closing in at the back post but failing to make any connection, Beaconsfield full collects the ball in his own box, first time pass down the line to the winger, who then runs from the halfway line, down the Hayes right, skips past Ferdinand Okoh on the edge of the box, from a tight angle lifts the ball high into the leaving Jacob Adams no chance in the Hayes goal. Double substitution made instant impact, Cole Brown corner, contested by Bettamer falls into the path of Marvel who pokes home from close range. Ref awards a free kick to Hayes, just left of centre, Bettamer rolls the ball forward for Luis Dunne who hits a wicked curling effort past the despairing dive of the keeper, into the far corner. Another chance, Ayo again bursting into the area of the Hayes left, first touch inside and low drive across the keeper, cannons back of the far post, probably with th slightest of touches from the keeper’s outstretched hand. Mo Bettamer free kick hard low grabbed at the second attempt by the home keeper.
Beaconsfield struggled to make any real impact late in the game, few long range efforts wide, few corners dealt with by Jacob Adams. Young winger introduced for Beaconsfield caused few problems with his pace and trickery late on.
2-3 ft
Mom: Cole Brown dealt with everything defensively, and his overlapping runs in attack, provides some decent opportunities going forward. Starting to click in the final third, looking more threatening for longer periods.
Roll on Tuesday hopefully another win on the board, to ease the relegation worries.
