Another win at home, 2 very good goals scored, one from the returning Mo Bettamer and a brace for that man again, from midfield Ronan Silva. Nothing really created first half, Hungerford wasteful in front of goal. Much better 2nd half looked a real threat when Bettamer came on in 66th minute. Won some headers to start held the ball up, bringing players into the game. Strike was sublime from inside the box. Held off 2 defenders in the build up to the 3rd goal.

First attempt of the game, curling effort from a free kick, Ellis Watts left foot from 25yds turned round the post by Jacob Adams diving to his right. Hayes first chance cross luis Dunne defender rash clearance just over. Elis watts through ball to Fabio lopes unable to beat the onrushing Jacob Adams and deflected for corner. Deep free kick not dealt with by the home side, attempted bicycle kick from Conor Mcdonagh just over. Elis Watts constant threat, drifted past defenders firing wide of the far post.
Poor pass into midfield found its way to Elis Watts neat pass into the path of Conor Mcdonagh slipped past the onrushing Jacob Adams.
Ht 0-1

First chance of the second half, Ayo Faniyan driving run, shot deflected into the path of Ronan Silva flicked past Nick Harvey in the away goal from 8yds out. Hungerford deep corner headed goal wards turned over by Hargreaves from the 6yd box. Hungerford cross from the right flicked on by Great Evans, control and shot by Conor Mcdonagh hits Jerry Wiltshire on the hand from close range, ref points to the spot, penalty high to the keeper right from Great Evans. Hayes instant reply long ball from the kick off from Steven Ngunga the returning Mo Bettamer, left hand side of the box, cuts inside, a fierce curling drive from just inside the box into the far corner, leaving Nick Harvey no chance of saving, Bettamer strike across the keeper spilled by Nick Harvey into the path of Omar Rowe excellent block from Hargreaves. Bettamer excellent hold up play, pass into Ayo his driving run into the box, pass pulled back into Ronan Silva on the edge of the area left footed into the corner with Nick Harvey rooted to the spot.

Much better in the last 2 game’s especially second half. Bettamer on his 20mins today, could be the focal point for us to build better attacking scenarios.
Only 2 recognised defenders in the starting 11 with Sami and Luis Dunne in a back 4. Amos work rate always impressive, Cole Brown another solid game at right back.

Mom Ronan Silva, tireless running and where would we be without his goals from midfield. Onto Poole Town another tough game but going into it with much more confidence.

U hayesssssssss

A good breakdown of the game and what a win! Two wins from two now and both against sides in the top half of the table. With it getting very congested from mid-table downwards, these wins are vital for our survival. I was getting a little nervous with us trailing so late on and Tiverton turning Hendon over as well as Dorchester winning too.

From Twitter and Red Army's report, it sounded like it all hinged on Bettamer's introduction. Made a real difference and I look forward to seeing his comeback goal on the YouTube highlights. Ronan Silva again coming up with the goods when needed too.

A big well done to the players and management and good to see a healthier crowd at the Skyex too, just shy of 300. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going down on the south coast on Tuesday.

YOU 'AYES!!!!!

Ah yes, 3-2 and so much better than the last 3-2 I can remember.

Mo Bettamer, joined in 2022 as the big hope to replace Amartey, nothing quite worked out, getting loaned out and then coming back and leading the charge to win the game, absolutely fantastic, just a shame Netflix weren't making a documentary about him.

Only problem for Mo being that we expect that every game now! :D

A strange day for results with 7 teams losing in the top half of the table while only Didcot, in 22nd place, lost in the lower half.

A great result yesterday and a well deserved hard fought win. After going behind from poor defending Hayes fought back equalised with a great goal from Silva. The second half saw the introduction of Bettamer who I understand was out on loan which begs the question why wasn’t he brought back earlier. Hayes fell behind to another penalty three in three games now, the previous two were shocking refereeing decisions. This looked like the end for Hayes only for us to go down their end and equalise within five minutes. The winner came from a well worked goal resulting in Silva scoring again from outside the box which is becoming a regular habit for him.

Let’s enjoy this win Tuesday is Poole and then a six pointer at Beaconsfield at the weekend. Sami was back to provide some competitive play and leadership. Amos played 90 minutes and gave another top performance. Us old geezers cannot understand why he is left on the bench or normally the first taken off. When you talk to him he is the most polite and humble person and I hope he stays with us next year. Bettamer came on and got stuck in, he gave us some competitive aggression at the front at last. The question is can he stay fit and last 90 minutes something if I remember correctly he struggled with last season.
