Poor result Saturday. We just can’t manage a 90 minute performance. Not sure if managers know the best starting 11 or a formation to get the best out of the players we have.
First half was fairly comfortable but once again the half drifted away to nothingness.
Wranyel Hercules looking lively wide on the right, using his pace drifted past the full back cut the ball back into the patch of Adrian Clifton who’s first time shot was blocked but he managed to bundle the ball home. Few occasions similar positions from Hercules and Jordan Ibe on the left but the final ball was poor. Cross from Kaylen Hinds on the left this time found Rocky Williams 6 yards out and centre of the goal but headed against the far post. Few half chances Kaylen shooting wide but nothing more clear cut than that. Moneyfields created very little first half few corners snap shot over from distance.
2nd half came out the stronger. Early header wide goal came not long after the restart. We failed to clear our lines on numerous occasions, ball falling to opposition player who curled his shot to the far stick and beyond Juliusz via both posts. We were rocking at this point another effort over from the home side. Penalty appeal turned down from a corner. Eventually started working our way into the game after a lack lustre 25minutes, Jordan Ibe cutting back into his right foot produced a theatrical save from the keeper to his left. Wranyel Hercules coming into the game once more and looked dangerous just the final ball was disappointing. Our best move of the game 3 pass move between Hinds and Hippolyte cut through the defence Adrian Clifton inside the box produced a rash tackle from the centre half, ref no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Adrian Clifton calmly sending the keeper the wrong way. Didn’t last long straight after the goal all at sea at the back scrambling clear a long ball. Equaliser came somewhat fortuitously for the home side another long ball over the top. Cole Brown round on the cover his attempted clearance cannons into the forward and flashes past the keeper into the bottom corner. Few late set pieces but came to nothing.
Mom Kombe Kawimbe another good performance from the youngster calm in possession and aggressive winning the ball in midfield. Season long loan would be a massive positive for us.
20/25 minutes after the restart was unacceptable for me, lacking in energy, enthusiasm and commitment. Gave the ball away consistently hit aimlessly forward time after time. Lost individual battles and Moneyfields got the battle they were after rather than a football match. They bossed large parts of the second half through grit and determination, deserved their point in the end.
Kaylen Hinds and Wranyel Hercules with solid performances.
One negative for me was Andy’s reaction after their first goal, same every fucking week then stood next to the dugout sulking like a child for 10 minutes. Not a good response for me. Jordan Ibe substituted then kicking the water bottles in the dugout after a fairly ineffective 70mins or so. Results are frustrating at present but reactions like this don’t help.
45-65 minute performances not going to cut in this league minimum required compete for 90 minutes or going to be found out more often than not going forward.
