Excellent, this is going well!

Winner is now Ricardo1.

I'll see if I can reclaim the prize from HayesAway. :D

Thanks to all, especially HayesAway, for their forbearance, now, back to the game...

Well, the Middlesex Senior Cup retention dream lives on, even if not in wildly convincing style.

As we don't have a large squad of reservists waiting to come in the team was made up of mainly familiar faces, with those who may usually keep the bench warm getting a chance to start. To be honest I thought those players didn't really grasp the opportunity to shine.

Of our our Premier League imports, Okoh had some nice touches. Maybe we can give him the ball more and encourage his attacking skills with the understanding that not everything he tries will come off. Braney drove forward well with the ball, just one good chance for him which skewed across goal, maybe more of an Adam Liddle than a Moses but lots of reasons to think he can be a positive addition to the side. Cole B played as an inverted Trent Alexander-Arnold out on the left of midfield. Not sure if that's a long-term move, or just out of necessity for this match, but it gives us a good wide attacking option.

Quite how a capable St Panteleimon side didn't take the match to penalties when the ball came back off our crossbar I'm not sure. Glad they didn't though as it was bloomin' cold. FC Video's highlights are here for anyone yet to take a look.

Meanwhile, if current form is getting you down, cheer yourself up with the report of Harrow's match here!
