Molesley Gone...

Post by PSG55 »

So a new striker on loan and the manager then announcing his resignation. I'm assuming the new man is not a Molesley signing given his resignation was announced so soon afterwards? Ronan Silva also returned to Farnborough on dual registration.

I kind of expected this, but I thought it might have come 2-3 weeks ago. Very surprised it's now but a lot of talk about Mols returning to Weymouth who have just parted ways with their manager. So perhaps that's the catalyst.

Whatever happens, it's left us in a tough position (as if it wasn't tough enough already). Might the change just get us out of it though? It clearly wasn't working but time will tell. More intriguing is who gets the job permanently moving forward?

No thank you for the hard work

No wishing him well for the future.

No saying he will always be welcome at the club.

These are courtesies that are paid to most managers, even those who are sacked.

All we get this time is that there will be no further comment at this time.

I don't think we need the tea leaves to tell us.

Our record when Molesley took charge was 4 wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats.

His record in charge was 5 wins, 9 draws and 9 defeats.

We had spell of 12 games without a win either side of Christmas and are currently on a run of 5 without success.

His spell in charge has not been great although it can be argued that injuries and suspensions seem to have been a constant theme.

As for the players that he recruited I am not sure any of them could realistically be described as a resounding success but we are a struggling team who do not have a clearly identifiable style or pattern of play. I wonder if Nasha or Ngunga are likely to return now that the manager has departed.

Thanks Mark, for taking us over in 11th place with +1 goal difference and leaving us in 17th place, with a worse squad and -4 goal difference, and putting us a point above the relegation zone.

We wish you well back at Weymouth!

Wasn’t expecting that last night.

Leaves us in a mess but not overly bothered that he has walked. Performances have been underwhelming, so never confident in him keeping us up!!! Delroy in charge over the weekend, all I’d say it’s free hit at today’s game. Let’s have a go at least not sit with 11 behind the ball hoping for a result. If we lose then pretty much what was expected on league positions. Rather be beat 2/3 then lose 1-0 and not have a shot for 90minutes.

Ronan Silva leaving a massive blow.

Create some chances for the forwards we may find out if they any good or not. Tommy Wood a good signing for rest of the season.

Hi,

So after rearranging the deckchairs (bench move) now the captain has left!
Will the band still be playing at the end of the season?

Good luck to Molesley in future adventures.

Now we need to dig in for the rest of the season..
I think we will stay up even if placed in the relegation zone.

Found out today that he only plays for Farnborough, if they have an injury crisis in their squad between now and end of the season.

Came to us when Hayes were falling into the sh*t. Left us deep in the sh*t.

I really thought when he was appointed that things would improve but that has not been the case. Just goes to show good players doesn’t necessarily make good managers. Apart from a good spell at the start of the year it has been dire for the majority of his tenure.

Both managerial appointments this season have been wrong for the club. Ultimately the chairman has to accept responsibility for this. With Delroy in charge until the end of the season is a sign of desperation. I hope we stay up and Delroy a club legend to all of us is not being offered up as a sacrificial lamb and labelled a manager who has had a team relegated. That is really not fair. The rot set in during the close season and that should be discussed on here at the end of the season whether or not we stay up.

Meanwhile another defeat today with the next couple of games as must wins if we are to have any real chance of surviving. I really don’t want to go another cup final after being relegated. It seems that all the progress made over the last few seasons is quickly evaporating and we are back where we started from.

Thank you Mark Molesey it is a real shame that it didn’t work out and things have ended like this.
